Itinerary

Commence your journey with an early morning pick-up, heading towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Situated southwards of Bogoria and crossing the equator, Lake Nakuru is the most renowned lake in the Rift Valley. Globally acclaimed for its flamingoes, the lake's alkaline nature marks it as one of the natural wonders of the world. Presently a rhino sanctuary, it shelters over 40 black and 60 white rhinos. However, the flamingos remain the primary attraction, with almost 2 million of them at times, creating a breathtaking deep pink band along the lake shore. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and proceed with an afternoon game drive.

Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a campsite or lodge.

As an alternative, if preferred, you have the option to substitute Lake Nakuru with a game drive in Lake Naivasha.

Embark on an early morning journey to Masai Mara National Reserve, a sanctuary that perseveres as one of the last remaining places on Earth where wildlife exists in relatively undisturbed abundance, reminiscent of the numbers that once freely roamed the plains and forests of Africa. Positioned at the northern tip of the expansive Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is witness to the awe-inspiring seasonal migration of thousands of Wildebeest, Zebras, and the predators accompanying them. Arrive in time for lunch and partake in an afternoon game drive.

Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a campsite or lodge.

Additional tours are highly recommended:
Hot Air Balloon Safari
Visit to a Maasai Village

Following breakfast, engage in a full-day game drive with a provided packed lunch. The reserve is renowned for its distinctive black-manned lions, abundant resident wildlife, and stands out as one of the rare locations where witnessing the big five is possible during a morning game drive. Notably, several cheetahs exhibit a remarkable level of tameness, seeking refuge under vehicles to escape the hot sun, with some even ascending onto the roof for a better vantage point of potential prey.

For avid bird enthusiasts, the reserve boasts an impressive avian diversity, with nearly 500 species recorded. This includes 16 species of eagles, along with numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 species of bustards (including the Kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.

Conclude the day with a satisfying dinner and overnight stay at a campsite or lodge, surrounded by the captivating landscapes of the reserve.

Morning game drive in Mara and depart late in the morning to
Nairobi, arriving at about 5pm. Lunch en route.
